The amendments add the use of risk based evaluations for the remediation of releases from tank systems and makes the requirements for remedial activities to be cost effective. In addition, the adopted regulation makes minor clarifications as to applicable federal requirements. The regulation provides for regulatory relief to tank owners and operators.
